Booking Bellydancing UW

Bellydancing UW is available for a variety of events, such as dance workshops, multicultural and campus events, weddings, and bachelorette parties. Annually, we perform at campus and local events, including Intercultural Night, All Campus Party, Student Performance Showcase, Global Village, Children's World Fair, Student Organization Fair, and Party in the Park. We do not charge; however, donations are appreciated. We DO NOT perform at bachelor parties.


Our requirements for performing are:
  • A large cleared space- We usually have multiple performers and need to move around the area.
  • Access to an area for costume changes
  • Sound system that will play a CD. For large events, a regular boombox is not loud enough.
  • A smooth, level surface for dancing- we perform barefoot.
  • Water is appreciated
We prefer as much advance notice as possible. The earlier we receive your request, the more likely it is that we will be able to perform for your event. Contacting us at least a month in advance is ideal, though we consider all requests that meet the above criteria.

Booking requests are handled by our vice president. If you would like to have Bellydancing UW perform at your event, please provide the following information in an email addressed to bellydancinguw@gmail.com:
  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Name of the host organization
  • Date and time of the event
  • Location of the performance
  • How long of a performance would you like?
  • Do you want a performance or teaching?
  • Would you prefer fast- or slow-paced songs?
  • Any additional information, comments, or questions
Submitting a request does not guarantee a booking with Bellydancing UW. We will contact you with our availability as soon as possible. Thank you for your request!
